The RADCUBE satellite programme is approaching the end of its design phase, by the end of which a final frozen design of the satellite, ready for being manufactured, shall be presented to ESA. On the 16th to the 17th of July, the responsible project officers from ESA visited Budapest for a progress meeting.
First, they visited our institute where they were shown our new space research laboratory. They also inspected the elegant breadboard model of RadMag in our cleanroom, where the instrument has been assembled. After that we went to the premises of C3S LCC, where an intensive, one-and-a-half-day-long technical discussion took place in connection with the RADCUBE programme. At the end of the visit, ESA specialists recognized the achievements in the project so far and confirmed that there are no critical issues that would jeopardize finalizing the design and closing the design phase at the end of the year.
ESA specialists, together with RadMag project manager Balázs Zábori, are inspecting the elegant breadboard model of RadMag in the cleanroom of the MTA EK Space Research Laboratory.
