Our Department at the H-SPACE 2020 conference

The Space Research Department of the Centre for Energy Research was also represented at the sixth H-SPACE 2020 international conference.
 

The conference was organized by the Federated Innovation and Knowledge Centre of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME EIT) in cooperation with the Hungarian Astronautical Society (MANT) at BME between the 26-27 February 2020. The topic of the event was „Special focus on education of the next generation”. The conference was opened by Orsolya Ferencz, ministerial commissioner for space research, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (KKM), Charaf Hassan, dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics and Előd Both, president of MANT.

Boglárka Erdős had her presentation about the D3S-RadMag space weather instrument, developed in the Centre for Energy Research, focusing on its telescope (RM-RAD-S) dedicated to measure space radiation in orbit. The title of her presentation was „Shielding optimization for the RM-RAD-S radiation monitor”. Boglárka presented the main aspects of the shielding optimization and the result of her calculations which are also part of her PhD work.
