The second Symposium on Space Education Activities (SSEA) was opened yesterday at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). Our research group as well as our ESEO-TRITEL student team is represented at the European Space Agency’s education symposium.
This three-day event is an excellent opportunity for students and young professional to share their ideas, present their results and experiences and network with researchers. Keynote lecture was given by Kai-Uwe Schrogl, the Chief Strategy Officer of the European Space Agency (ESA) followed by an astronaut talk by German ESA astronaut Reinhold Ewald, who in 1997 flew to the space station Mir.
On the third day of the event (April 13), special sessions will be dedicated to ESA’s European Student Earth Orbiter (ESEO) programme. The contribution of the ESEO-TRITEL team will be presented by Balázs Zábori, the project manager of the ESEO-TRITEL project. Besides the special session, ESA also conduct interviews with present and former team members during the symposium.
Those who participate the event can also visit the stand of the Space Research Laboratory recently opened at the MTA Centre for Energy Research in the exhibition area.
