Hungarian Space Research Symposium in Berlin

On the occasion of the Berlin Science Week and the Day of the Hungarian Science on the 5th of November the Embassy of Hungary in Berlin organized a Hungarian Space Research Symposium in Berlin.

 

The participants were greeted by András Izsák, Deputy Ambassador of Berlin. This was followed by a greeting speech by the president of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network (ELKH) Steering Board, Miklós Maróth and Ministerial Commissioner for Space Research and Space Activities, Orsolya Ferencz, on the history of Hungarian research in general, the ELKH and the Hungarian space activities.

 

After greetings and introductory lectures, first Attila Hirn (Centre for Energy Research), Zoltán Szénási (István Széchenyi University) and Pál Vízi (Wigner Research Centre for Physics,) representatives of the Hungarian space research, followed by Tamás Bárczy (Admatis Ltd.), Viktor Nádor (BHE Bonn-Hungary Ltd.) and Szabolcs Bella (Aedus Space Ltd.), representatives of the Hungarian space industry presented their results and achievements in space activities and their plans for the future. The event closed with a reception and get together, which provided an excellent opportunity for further networking.
